Official Launching of the campaign "Every child, Everywhere, In School"

This ceremony took place at Félix Houphouët-Boigny University of Cocody, in Abidjan (UFHB) in the presence of the University authorities, representatives of the Ministries of Education and the Division officials.

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) for the launching of the "Every Child, Everywhere, In School" campaign, chose the premises of the University Felix Houphouet Boigny, Abidjan-Cocody, Lecture Theatre A to present and explain the purpose of this ceremony, not only to the men of the press, but also to the administrative authorities and to students.

The West-Central Africa Division and ADRA, to stress on “Right to Education for All”, launched the concept "Every Child, Everywhere, In School" campaign at the UFHB Abidjan-Cocody in the presence of representatives of ministries in charge of secondary and higher education, parents, lectures the University officials and of course those of the West-Central Africa Division and ADRA West Africa.

Indeed, it was for the Division and Adra officials to explain the importance and purpose of this ceremony in regards of the uneducated percentage of children. Having considered this reality, Dr. Elie Weick, President of the West-Central Africa Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, urged the audience to take part in this launching event responding massively to Adra's concern as they sign the petition in order to allow each child to have the right to education regardless of his place of residence.

 This action, which responds to the government's policy, deserves support, and according to Pastor Weick, "We must encourage the education of all our children so that no more children will ever be alienated in our country".

For Pastor Amégnito Emmanuel, coordinator of ADRA West Africa, collecting more than one thousand signatures through the site:, would not only allow donors to provide more funds for this project, but also and especially for the  children to have the necessary infrastructures for their education during the donors soon coming meeting on education in 2020.

This initiative was welcomed by the representative of the Minister of National Education, Technical and Vocational Training, Ms. Jeanne Kopieu, Deputy Director of Education and by the representative of the President of the UFHB, Professor Sangaré A.

Attended this meeting, apart from the above mentioned authorities were, Pastors Elie Weick and Kingsley Anonaba, respectively President and Executive Secretary of the Division, Treasurer Emmanuel Manu, heads of departments and some Presidents of the Unions who came for the Mid-Year meeting.
